Oak Daybed

A Japanese inspired piece of furniture suitable for a contemporary interior. The top is made of veneered panel and is joined around the perimeter in a solid oak frame. We used several traditional joints that required tedious manual work (hidden wedged tenons, tongue and groove, haunched mortise and tenon). The rounded legs are joined by a removable frame. The piece was stained and finished with a durable laquer. The bench will be completed with an upholstered fabric or leather mattress.
Overall dimensions are L 210cm, W 80cm, H 35cm, but we can customize this product according to the specific needs of the client. All furniture pieces presented are made in limited batches or one-of-a-kind pieces in our woodworking workshop, on a per-order basis.
